What Is And What Is The Purpose Of A Horse’s Third Eyelid

This is a quick one but I wanted to show what the third eyelid looks like on a horse, which is also called a nictitating membrane. It’s a very important part of the eye and is used for protection and cleaning of the eye. If there are any problems with it, you should call your vet, normally it should be just barely visible.
